Wait, Did You Read the Fine Print?
Hey, my name is Elaina 👋🏻
I do the admin work here at March Home Staging, and while the paperwork side isn’t nearly as beautiful or exciting as our stages, it is the wheel that keeps our business moving. Let’s go over a few of the key points in our contract.
Some of the points in our contract may seem confusing at first, but hopefully I can explain why they are not only important, but necessary. Here are some key points:
Payment is due in full prior to installation: This point is so important because our stages are not officially scheduled and on our calendar until the invoice is completed in full. But don’t worry! If paying the full price out of pocket seems overwhelming, we offer a third-party pay at close service called Titus, that you can apply for. Look into that service here.
Our Staging Services are offered for a contract that covers a 90-day staging period. While very rarely our clients need more time, we do offer a rate to renew on a weekly basis, as needed. (per inventory needs & other projects)
Rescheduling within 48 hours of installation = $200 fee. If the home is not ready upon arrival = $300 rescheduling fee. This protects the time of our team & movers, while also ensuring the house is in the condition needed for us to stage effectively.
Items may not be used, moved, or altered. You probably wouldn’t be very comfortable sleeping on just a boxspring anyway, since we don’t bring mattresses for the beds we stage.
March Home Staging requires 5–7 business days notice for de-staging. We know closing can be chaotic, but in order to honor that closing date, we need to know beforehand to schedule our team & movers to come and destage the property.
Marketing materials (such as business cards) may be placed in the home unless declined. Don’t remember putting out business cards on your bookshelves? That would be us! If someone tours the home and loves how the house turned out as much as you do, they can grab a business card and reach out for a future project.
See? That wasn’t so bad. When clients read through our contract carefully before signing, we can avoid any obstacles or delays. We know that the timeline is a crucial part of selling a home, and we want to do our part to keep to it!
